Ad Lesson:

In advertising it is important to note that cartoon characters sell products. And they need not be scantily clad with hooker boots and 97 D sized breasts billowing forth from their size 0 top; they merely need be cute. Cute like bunny rabbits. Or rainbows.

I opted for vegetables and farm animals when first drawing the soup signs for the Semolino. It began with a dancing broccoli. Meet Clover; spokesman for Broccoli and Cheese Soup.

The villianous outlaw Black Bean for Baja Chicken Soup. He came about after many attempts at drawing a chicken with dry erase markers. I'll add that brown is the color of turkey and, here, make my supplication that the dry erase corporations of america being laboring for a white dry erase marker.

And lasly Porc. I forced myself to draw him relatively thin because no one wants to buy soup from an obese piglet. Originally I was thinking massive piggy who couldn't walk even if he still could surrounded by mounds of cheese and potatoes. Because obviously he speaks for Cheddar Potato Soup.

Luv,
Clay
