Grilled Cheese:

Mmm. . . . Grilled Cheese. Need I say more, honestly?

Yes. It began with a distaste for butter. I can stomach the fatty yellow substance on some things, like blueberry muffins. Mmm . . . Muffins. But generally I'd rather put something a bit healthier into my body. Then came the night I wanted grilled cheese for dinner. We have a "vat" of margarine. Which for various reasons, that I don't really know, is worse than real butter. I really didn't want to put that on my sandwich.

Hence, my dilemma.

Ergo, my experimentations with grilled cheese.

Usually, you coat the outside with butter so that you get that fried/grilled look. My first veering from tradition used olive oil. It worked, but burned easily. It didn't taste burnt though. My second Raspberry Vinaigarette. This was good. I enjoyed the hint of raspberry flavoring on the bread and it was much better than butter or olive oil.

The third was perfection; a coating of "Athenos: Greek with Feta Cheese" dressing. It is the best salad dressing in existence so I should have known the results. The italiany, greekish seasoning and the hinting of feta give the grilled cheese sandwich such a unique and mouth watering taste. Ah. Its so good.

I compare the taste to Pizza Hutt's cheese sticks, but much better.

Luv,
Clay
