Pecan Pie:

7 am. I'm at work.

One of my friends said that "One slice of pecan pie has the same calories as eating four BigMacs." Now instantly I'm thinking to myself "No, thats outrageous . . . a BigMac has like a thousand calories." So as should be done with any sort of questionable information; I googled it.

Google told me first off that the average piece of pecan pie has 400 calories. Though there are the dreadful 800 calorie sorts, I believe ther are few and far between; perhaps larger portions of the 400 cal version. Then with a quick jump to www.McDonalds.com I learned that a BigMac has exactly 560 calories; not quite a thousand, but more than the pecan pie.

Now we know that the pie is nearly the caloric intake of one BigMac, but so many Americans like a double slice of pie and only one BigMac. Giving us an instant 800. It is also interesting to note that an entire pecan pie has 3200 calories; which would be the equivalent of roughly 6 BigMacs.

Just thought I would inform you.

Luv,
Clay
