Adventures in CO Springs:

Well it began with a four hour trip to the Kansas Border. On the way to the Colorado line we were first distracted by this quaint little museum/rest stop called Fort Wallace (an old train station sort of thing). And then a picnic at Mt. Sunflower, the highest point in Kansas. It was the most anticlimactic experience of my life.

But lunch was good and so was the cow-herding and snipe hunting. The cow had escaped its pen. I was just being a dork with the snipe-hunt.

The eventually, after leaving at 8:30 we made it to Colorado at 12:30. We made it to Colorado Springs around 4 (I think. It took awhile . . . it was probably more like 3:30. A 7 hour trip.) We first went to Garden of the Gods. It was beautiferous.

Afterwards we dropped Jayna off for the wedding rehearsal and went to have dinner with one of BJ's friends, Mike McShea. He's an interesting fellow. He took us to this authentic little Mexican place for dinner. It was good. We stayed at another friend of BJ's's appartment. Saturday we made our way to Starbucks and Manitou Springs.

I learned that Semolino was better than Starbucks. Our coffee is made with love and theirs is just slapped together to feed the masses: the McDonalds of coffee. Manitou Springs was alot of fun. Definitely an interesting place, but full of touristy garbage, but that, I suppose, is part of the interest.

Then there was the wedding, but I'll save that for tomorrow. To be continued.

Luv,
Clay
