Perelandra:

So, it is summer. I have alot of excess time on my hands; time I can spend reading.

So far I have read all five of the Hitchhiker's Guide Trilogy and book one of the Chronicles of Narnia.

This week I started reading "Perelandra" by C.S. Lewis. So far I enjoy it. The middle part is kind of boring being that it mostly invovles conversation between a naked green woman and the un-man (man possessed by Satan) while our antagonist sits by helplessly.

It makes me long for the old days . . . really old when Adam and Eve lived alone (with God I suppose) in Eden. A land with no pain, suffering, hardships, hatred. A place abundant in love and joy.

I wonder what it would be like to lounge around with the one I love naked in a field of the most beautiful flowers. With no death or decay to add blemish. No ugliness, just pure uninhibited beauty. Nothing to interrupt or interfere. Living off of fruits, nuts, and berries now long extinct. Enjoying the company of all God's creatures; God himself even.

What the deuce were they thinking? Makes you want to slap the both of them for eating that confounded fruit! But then I'm left to wonder if we should be thankful to them. Is it because of their actions that we are able to know Jesus? Because of sin are we allowed the opportunity to be called princes of heaven?

Or was Jesus the one walking among them in Eden?

Luv,
Clay

(On a completely different note. I think, finally, that I am now a regular at Semolino's . . . which means phase one of my sinister plan in complete. Step two. Get me a job here, maybe? We'll see. I would be an asset since I can already run the machine and know how to make the drinks. I am the man.)

If you knew what the uniforms looked like at the brewery you would quickly retract that comment. I don't think I could work anywhere that they make you wear tapered pants that go past your belly button with tucked in shirts. I would die.

As far as being regular. I eat alot of raisins. With Semolino's you just have to budget. One coffee a week, generally on the same day of the week at a similar time. For me Saturdays around 10 with the occaisonal friday visit to pester Meghan. This way the employees begin to recognize you and greet you with that warm friendly (fake) smile.
